Some of our projects are labours of love – Fiona gets inspired and has to make it so! That’s how this cream cotton and lace Gibson Girl inspired ensemble came to be.
This sashed dress is based on the look of a classic late Victorian/early Edwardian “shirt waister” ensemble and made out of pure cotton twill. This postcard drawn by Charles Dana Gibson shows some of our inspiration:
We did add a modern zipper in the back to make it easier to wear.
